Dell Computer Corp has introduced a new model to its Inspiron notebook range which forms the most powerful member of the family to date. The Inspiron 3000 contains Intel Corp's 266MHz Pentium processor with MMX technology and is expected to speed up the notebook by between 7% and 10%. Dell created the Inspiron last year in an attempt to differentiate itself, therefore creating the Latitude line which saw the introduction of the Inspiron mobile range (CI No 3,247).

The new machine will retail for around $3,300.
