Lucent Wins Three Big Pcs Contracts

Lucent Technologies Inc has signed three separate contracts valued at $44.8m over five years to provide its Code Division Multiple Access digital wireless systems to US wireless telephone operators. All three companies are based in Georgia, and Southern Wireless LP will pay Lucent $16.7m, Savannah Independent PCS Corp $12.4m and a further order comes from $15.7m from Georgia Independent PCS Corp.
