Verio Buys Monumental Network Systems

Computergram International, Jan 16, 1998

It's another day, another acquisition for internet service provider (ISP) Verio Inc. This time it's bought Monumental Network Systems Inc of Chantilly, Virginia, giving Verio another 21 points of presence in the mid-Atlantic area and in particular, the Washington DC metropolitan area. As usual, privately-held Verio did not disclose terms.

Verio has been snapping up ISPs like they are going out of fashion. It bought iServer earlier this week and Prepnet and Sesquinet around the turn of the year.
