Thomson To Acquire Computer Language Research

Thomson Corp's financial application division research Institute of America Group is to acquire tax and accountancy operation, Computer Language Research Inc. The Thomson division will pay CLR $22.5 in cash per outstanding share of CLR common stock, and will also buy stock from shareholders that have around 75% of the stock.

Altogether, the deal values CLR at around $325m, and is expected to close by the middle of next month.
