Digital Equipment Corp has reported second-quarter net profit up 134.6% at $74.8m on revenue down 1% at $3.32bn. Six-month net profit was $99.9m on revenue that was essentially flat at $6.28bn, compared to a loss of $34m last year. Earnings per share rose 193.3% to $0.44 for the quarter and were $0.55 for the six months.
