Ecmascript Going Over To Iso - JAVASCRIPT

Computergram International, April 10, 1998

Bar some minor editorial changes, it looks as if ISO will carry ECMAScript, the European Computer Manufacturers Association's enhanced version of JavaScript, through a fast-track standardization process. Countries' votes, which had to be cast by last night, were asking only for the text of some of the submission be re-worded.

An ISO/IEC DIS 16262 (ECMAScript) ballot resolution meeting is expected to be held in conjunction with the next meeting of ECMA's TC-39 group at Sun Microsystems Inc's Menlo Park, California campus June 15-16.
