France's Atos Buys Italian Auto Systems Co, Sesam

Computergram International, April 16, 1998

French system integrator Atos SA has purchased Sesam, an Italian integrator specializing in information systems for automating production, says a report in Les Echos. Sesam, which reported 1997 revenues of approximately $43m, was a joint venture of Fiat SA subsidiary Comau and Digital Equipment Corp.

Atos noted that it would continue Sesam's close collaboration with Fiat, anticipating several large contracts from the automaker over the next five years.
