According to Allied Business Intelligence, the number of enterprise TI/E1 lines worldwide will rise from over 3.7 million in 1998 to nearly 9.4 million in 2004.... The Alliance for Telecommunications Solutions reported that the Standards Committee T1's Technical Subcommittee for wireless/mobile services and systems will establish a working group to develop standards for fixed wireless access solutions that interface with the PSTN and public packet data networks (PPDN)....
