Networking cabinets - Hoffman - Brief Article

Communications News,  Oct, 2001

NETWORK AND DATACOM EQUIPMENT can be housed economically and with superior ventilation with Networking Cabinets. Vented top and bottom panels, combined with a louvered rear door, create a chimney effect. This draws cool air through the bottom of the welded steel cabinet and exhausts hot air through the top-optimizing performance, and prolonging life expectancy for internally mounted equipment. The cabinets are available for 19" and 23" equipment, with both models providing 46-rack units that can be easily adapted for many different applications. Other features include removable doors and side panels with rounded corners that eliminate cable-damaging sharp edges; precut fan openings; holes for optional levelers and casters, and two rear cable-entry ports with grommets. Reversible hinges, key-locking latch systems, adjustable rack angles and additional door-mounting holes facilitate quick installation and reconfiguration.--Hoffman
