A MODULAR MEDIA CONVERTER for ethernet and Fast Ethernet networks, the MIL-341 x is a 2-port switch that converts 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX for extending network distances from about 1.25 miles to 62 miles. The converter also converts 10Base-T devices to 100Base-TX, for networks migrating to 100 Mbps. The product, part of the MIL-9100 and MIL-9200 series media conversion systems, is fully managed and configurable in multiple connector options. It can be used with other modules, including Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and ethernet, within the 9100's 8-slot or 9200's 16-slot chassis, for media and rate adaptability. The converter supports autonegotiation for speed and duplex on a per-port basis, and up to 8,912 addresses. It supports features such as VLAN tagging, package size throughput and back pressure in half duplex, enabling conversion of legacy networks to higher speeds over greater distances.--MILAN Technology
