KVM switches - Tripp Lite KVM - Brief Article - Product Announcement

Communications News,  Oct, 2001

END-USERS CAN CONTROL MULTIPLE SERVERS or PCs from a single keyboard, mouse or monitor console with KVM switches. The switches simultaneously support multiple operating systems, and select models can be configured to simultaneously support a variety of computer types--helping enterprises reduce the number of keyboards, monitors and mice they need to purchase. Individual port selection buttons and multiple LEDs eliminate the need to scroll through central processing units (CPUs) or check the back of the switch to verify connection. Most models are self-powered, allowing them to be located anywhere rather than near wall outlets. Rackmount models occupy only 1U of rack space. Available in 2-, 4-and 8-port, with audio support and scalability up to 512 CPUs available on select models. --Tripp Lite
