Insertion-loss tester - Optical testing and conversion

The hand-held Backreflection Meter features a dual wavelength (1310/1550 nm) source and an optional detector for insertion loss measurement. The rugged device features a 65-dB dynamic range and has a simple intuitive' user interface. Both single-mode and polarization-maintaining devices and connectors can be tested. The meter includes an RS-232 port for communication with a computer, allowing remote control and data logging of the results for quality control. A multimode version is also available.--OZ Optics
