Communications News, Nov, 2002
The ClassicConverter Series of network media converters is available in two standalone and two modular versions. They convert UTP signals from 100Base-TX to fiber 100Base-FX (SC or ST), to extend connections up to 2 km, while keeping overhead down to a minimal 150 ns delay. Easy to install and maintain, the devices feature easy-to-read LEDs and LinkEnforcer technology, which enables them to alert other devices if a link signal is lost. The units operate automatically in either half--or full-duplex mode, and are hot swappable, so modules can be added or removed without disrupting other connections.--Milan Technology
