The Sentivist 4.0 intelligent intrusion-management solution adds capabilities that reduce false positives and enhance scalability and manageability. The new meta alert correlation feature reduces the number of false positives by correlating multiple lower-priority alerts to generate higher level alert notification. The solution also uses fine-grain filtering at the sensor, server and user interface; alert flood suppression; and OS fingerprinting extensions, which include application fingerprinting and cross-referencing alerts to the host vulnerability profile. IPv6 support allows organizations to identify security threats related to this addressing scheme, such as attacks where intruders use IPv6-1Pv4 tunneling techniques in an attempt to evade detection under the premise that most current IDS products do not offer IPv6 support.--NFR Security
