Video streaming appliance - New Products

Communications News, Dec, 2003

Designed for business television, corporate communications, distance learning and archiving applications, the MWG 2000e streaming platform enables companies and organizations to deliver high-quality, reliable video over IP networks. The device has a special traffic-shaping feature that allows the optimization of video transmission. In addition, the MGW 2000e has six channels of video-quality encoding, low-latency encoding and playback options. The solution receives up to six live digital or analog signals, encodes them in real-time to MPEG-1 or MPEG-2, and streams them in multicast or unicast mode.--Optibase
