Communications News, Dec, 2003
Designed for mid-market enterprises, the Matrix V2 Managed Switch provides a combination of convergence-ready networking, security and high-availability features. Multilayer classification capabilities allow prioritization of voice over IP and video, as well as data-intensive applications such as ERP systems. Protection against unauthorized use is accomplished through multiple authentication methods, including 802.1X and MAC port locking, as well as access control lists, and SSH, SSL and RADIUS servers. The switch supports 24 ports of 10/100Base-TX, with two expansion slots that can be used either for up-link connections or stacking modules. The stacking modules support up to eight units, which deliver a total of 192 ports of lO/lOOBase-TX.--Enterasys Networks
