Exchange server backup

Communications News, Dec, 2005

The Application Continuity Appliance (ACA) for Microsoft Exchange delivers instant-on failover and failback in the event of planned or unplanned downtime of a Microsoft Exchange server. With a simple 10-minute installation using the Web-based interface, the ACA installs non-intrusive software agents on the Exchange server. No modifications are required on the Exchange, Active Directory or DNS infrastructure. The ACA maintains an ongoing object-level backup of the Exchange mail store, assuring that database corruption is never replicated. The appliance's antivirus systems are also monitored and securely updated. The appliance can be deployed equally effectively at headquarters or at branch offices to guarantee uptime.--Teneros
