As part of the Oculan 3.1 integrated management platform, OcuStat watches network traffic to find congestion points, utilization, traffic patterns, bandwidth usage and top talkers. Network managers using OcuStat can identify the types and quantity of traffic and applications using the network, and the people using the network the most, enabling better load balancing. The system gives historical trend information to allow for proactive planning for network growth, and a list of the top websites being visited. Also, a report of the top talking pairs allows for better balancing of servers with clients.--Oculan
