The POPnetserver 1000 is a family of NAS servers sized for small businesses and remote offices. The product delivers protection with flexible RAID options, including RAID 5 for fault tolerance, and infinite data backup to tape drive for off-site storage protection. Models include a 120-GB capacity device, and a larger version, with 3600-GB storage and RAID 5 protection. To simplify file serving and client backup, the POPfiler 2.0 operating system includes a simple browser interface, and utilities for daily client backup of system information, real-time scheduled backups and consistent point-in-time copy without administrator intervention. Packaged in a compact tabletop form factor, standard features include a 1.7-GHz Intel Celeron processor, 256 MB SDRAM and an integrated 10/100 Ethernet connection, with dual Ethernet option. The tape model includes an accessible front-load tape drive that supports 33-GB tape cartridges.--FIA
