Encrypted hard drive

Communications News,  Jan, 2008

Designed for mobile users, the 2.5-inch Aegis Vault features AES-128 bit hardware encryption with password protection, keeping data safe even if the drive is removed from the enclosure. Encrypted partitions are accessed by entering an authenticated password and can be configured to support multiple public partitions for data sharing. Available in capacities of 80 GB, 120 GB, 160 GB, and 250 GB, the bus-powered drive does not require software installation on the host computer to access encrypted partitions. The Vault also includes a 16-point omni-directional shock mounting and an integrated USB cable, and is compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Vista.--Apricorn
