VoIP application
EASILY DEPLOY VOIP CONFERENCING, combining high-quality voice solutions with increased end-user convenience and control. Voyant's native IP-conferencing solution, Instant Conferencing Enabler (ICE), permits on-demand, instant multipoint collaboration using the session initiation protocol (SIP). By leveraging SIP, ICE can empower end users with the ability to immediately launch voice conferences without prior subscription. Interoperating with all SIP-compliant end points, ICE is a robust, scalable voice application that sits on top of Voyant's IP platform to provide a rack-and-stack configuration that can be deployed quickly and easily. Additionally, the ICE open application interface can enable Internet control of conferences, as well as add voice collaboration to existing applications, such as data conferencing or instant messaging.--Voyant Technologies

Quality videoconferencing
UPGRADE THE QUALITY OF VIDEOCONFERENCES without having to learn a new application. Conferencer is an H.323-compliant, IP-based videoconferencing solution that integrates easily with current and future broadband networking architecture, including ethernet, ATM, token ring, T-1, FDDI, cable modem, DSL and other IP networks. Conferencer accelerates Microsoft's NetMeeting videoconferencing and visual-collaboration application software, raising quality to that of expensive, room-based videoconferencing systems. Simply install the Conferencer PCI card, load the software and connect the camera for seamless, business-quality videoconferencing. By offloading the video and audio processing from the PC to Array's proprietary VideoFLOW semiconductor hardware, Conferencer improves not only the audio and video quality, but also the performance and reliability of other applications, such as NetMeeting's T.120 visual collaboration tools, white board and application-sharing capabilities.--Array Microsystems

QoS performance
COMPLETE SUPPORT FOR ISDN PRI, QoS performance enhancements and full global management system software support are now available. The ViewStation FX and VS4000 group video communication systems now feature version 2.5 software. In addition to the existing support of ISDN PRI for T-1, the new software completely supports ISDN PRI video communications over the E-1 standard for Europe and the Pacific Rim. The increased bandwidth allows these regions to experience TV quality, 60 fps NTSC and 50 fps PAL, interlaced video communications at data rates of 512 kbps to 2 Mbps over circuit-switched or IP networks. QoS enhancements include on-screen diagnostics, packet and jitter control, and IP precedence, an H.323 standard that allows prioritization of audio and video data. The software also supports dynamic bandwidth allocation, adjusting the data rate to ensure the integrity of the audio and video on an IP call. The software's Global Management System feature is a Web-based architecture to enable remote management of an entire ViewStation network through any standard browser. This management tool also provides features, such as zero administration directory services, remote alert notification, software update, call detail record and LDAP/ ILS compliance.--Polycom
