Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedManage multiple servers
Communications News, Feb, 2004
The analog HP Server Console Switch family of products is a scalable and integrated keyboard, video monitor and mouse system for managing multiple servers from one console. Intended for staffed datacenters, the analog switches are available in 8- and 16-port versions, and can be connected in a tiered fashion to increase server access from eight to as many as 128 servers (256 servers when tiering to an HP IP Console Switch). Via a single, integrated on-screen display interface, users can manage all attached computers, including those running different operating systems. The display provides intuitive menus for system-related information, such as status, test and diagnostic data, and configuration menus. Interface adapters are available for both PS/2 and USB, and connect to CAT 5 cable to reduce cable clutter.--HP
