Remote device management

Communications News, Feb, 2004

The Dominion KSX integrates key management and control technologies-remote KVM control, remote serial console control and remote power control--in a single, easy-to-use appliance. Administrators can centrally manage remote servers and other IT equipment from a corporation's main office, saving travel time and costs, and reducing downtime at remote locations. A single Web-based log-on provides managers with a real-time, graphical view of all the IT equipment connected to the KSX at a branch. It provides direct access to the remote equipment in order to troubleshoot, configure, maintain, as well as recycle the power and reboot. The KSX includes an integrated modem for emergency access when the IP network is down or is not an option.--Raritan
