The E450 model of Equalizer 7.0 is a Layer 7-enabled load-balancing appliance with a dual Gigabit Ethernet interface. The device supports cookie-based persistence, cookie stuffing and URL load balancing. Endowed with a 1-GHz processor and 512 MB of RAM, the unit is capable of balancing the load for an unlimited number of 64-server clusters, and can handle 4,000,000 simultaneous connections. Plug-and-play setup and inclusive reporting features are also included. For sites with significant levels of SSL traffic, the E450 can be purchased with the XCEL SSL hardware acceleration module, which allows the load balancer to quickly process thousands of transactions per second without overload.--Coyote Point Systems
