Mobile device security

Communications News, Feb, 2008

Featuring data encryption and authentication, Trend Micro Mobile Security 5.0 protects smart phones and PDAs from data loss, infections and attacks. If a mobile device is lost or stolen, the business-critical data contained in it is encrypted unless it is unlocked with a password. The solution blocks viruses, worms, Trojans and SMS text message spam, while a built-in firewall and intrusion-detection system protects against hackers, intrusions and denial-of-service attacks. The solution allows administrators to manage security for multiple hand-held devices from a single console, and administrators can wipe out data on devices that do not comply with policies.--Trend Micro
