ADC Telecommunications joins Optical Internetworking Forum

ADC announced that it has joined the Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF) which fosters the development and deployment of interoperable products and services for data switching and routing using optical networking technologies. The OIF was founded by AT&T, Bellcore, CIENA, Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, Qwest, Sprint, and Worldcom to encourage cooperation among telecom industry participants including equipment manufacturers, telecom service providers, and end users. OIF promotes global development of optical internetworking products, specifically advancing nationwide and worldwide compatibility and interoperability. ADC Telecommunications is a global supplier of voice, video, and data services for telephone, cable TV, Internet, broadcast, wireless, and private communications networks.
