GST TELECOMMUNICATIONS, INC., recently deployed infrastructure supporting the company's own SS7 network, only one of a handful of CLECs to accomplish this operation.

In January, ADC TELECOMMUNICATIONS, INC. and PAIRGAIN TECHNOLOGIES, INC. completed testing their next-generation HDSL2 systems for interoperability, a design feature which is expected to soon revolutionize how service providers deliver T1 services.

GLOBECOMM SYSTEMS, INC., a global supplier of satellite earth stations and networks, was awarded a $3 million contract announced in January by Hughes Network Systems to provide a satellite earth station network in Brazil.

ATL PRODUCTS, a supplier of intelligent DLTtape libraries for networked companies, has agreed to have SKYDATA incorporate its PowerStor libraries into the DLTtape product line comprised of tape drives and autoloaders to offer customers a full suite of desktop to datacenter solutions.
