Network monitoring software

Communications News, March, 2008

Capable of mapping more than 1,000 switches, the Switch Port Mapper helps network engineers automatically map switch ports to devices, eliminating the need to manually trace network cables. Offering multi-vendor switch support, Mapper can retrieve VLAN details, map multiple switches simultaneously, group switches and map them separately, and identify the physical location of connected devices. Details are stored in a database to provide a mapping history. The solution reports changes in port status via e-mail alert and enables searches to obtain details of switch ports.--AdventNet
