Security appliance - Product preview: networld+interop - ServGate Technologies' EdgeForce Plus - Brief Article

Communications News,  April, 2003

Booth 4215

Tailored for enterprises that rely on secure site-to-site and remote-access connectivity, the EdgeForce Plus is a three-port security appliance that integrates firewall, VPN, virus scanning, URL filtering and Web-caching functions. The base unit features a 200-Mbps firewall and a 45-Mbps IPSec VPN. Features and performance can be scaled with a simple software licensing system, and, in most cases, modules can be installed and activated without taking the appliance out of the rack. The device also has a tuned encryption processor to improve the system's VPN performance for organizations with a large number of remote workers, business travelers or remote offices.--ServGate Technologies
