Designed to extend the features and functionality of Toshiba desktop telephones to laptops of PCs running Windows XP, the SoftIPT SoftPhone can be used anywhere users have access to wired or wireless connectivity. Using the software, mobile office workers can now make and receive telephone calls on the same device they use to surf the Internet, send e-mails and conduct their business. Desktop telephone features that ore extended to the PC of laptop via the software include voice mail, the ability to receive incoming telephone calls and accept or transfer calls into voice mail or to another person, caller ID on incoming telephone calls, the ability to place outgoing telephone calls, auto dial tied to user's own database, call forward external features, and call-record features on the laptop or PC as a WAV file or into voice mail. --Toshiba America Information Systems
