Designed for companies that are migrating from serial port devices to Ethernet devices, the GL 414 Serial Device Server connects legacy serial devices to 10/100BaseT Ethernet. The unit has four ports that can accommodate either serial or Ethernet connections with the flip of a switch, allowing any combination of devices to be used simultaneously through the same server. RS-232-based devices are connected through RJ-45 ports, with serial data transfer rates up to 115 Kbps. The device has static key-based 3DES data encryption, includes management software, and can be configured via Telnet of serial port.--Globetek
