Modular enclosure
LARGE ENCLOSURE PROVIDES EXTRA SPACE for expansion and future applications. The new 36" Modular Enclosure is designed for small commercial structured cabling systems. The unit offers 36" of rail space for mounting voice, video, data, audio and fiber modules in various combinations. With an overall size of 36"x14.5"x4", the cabinet can be surface-mounted or mounted flush in the wall. It is constructed of 18-gauge galvanized steel with a rust-resistant finish. A knockout in the enclosure allows an AC receptacle to be internally mounted, while the sides and base accept Velcro straps or plastic ties for organizing and managing cables. A raised center rail allows cables to pass behind modules. Multiple cable entry/exit holes at the top and bottom feature snap bushings to protect cables from abrasion and wear. The lockable screw-on cover has a tough, white enamel finish that protects against scratches and corrosion. The cover extends out to conceal any rough edges of Sheetrock openings.--Ortronics

Category 6 cable
HIGH-PERFORMANCE CABLE supports Gigabit Ethernet to accommodate the convergence of voice, video and data. The LANmark-2000 enhanced Category 6 copper cabling solutions feature full-duplex operation over four cable pairs, reduced attenuation and increased usable bandwidth up to 350 MHz. The cable has received independent certification from ITS ETL SEMKO as meeting the TIA Category 6, Draft 7 standard, and is available in plenum, riser and patch versions. The cable is constructed of 0.59 mm (23 AWG), bare copper wire insulated with polyethylene (nonplenum) or FEP (plenum). Two insulated conductors are twisted together to form a pair, and four such pairs are laid up to form the basic unit that is jacketed with flame-retardant PVC. The improved electrical performance of the cable ensures that transmitted signals will be stronger and less susceptible to outside interference, resulting in a more robust network.--Berk-Tek

Measure cable exactly
SAVE INSTALLATION TIME by preventing errors in measuring cables. The TRU-Mark footage marking system is available on the PlatinumPLUS Category 5e and CommandLINX 6 Category 6 copper data cables. The sequential marker on the jacket starts at 1,000' and decreases to show the amount of cable remaining. The numerical printing on the cable jacket indicates the exact length of cable--preventing cable installers from pulling wire that is too short for an application.--General Cable

Ceramic PM connector
NEW CERAMIC FERRULE FC-PC and FC-APC polarization-maintaining (PM) connectors are designed for telecom, medical and military applications. Unlike their standard counterparts, the ferrule in PM connectors can be rotated around the axis of the fiber during assembly, ensuring optimal connector alignment in relation to the polarization axes. Assemblies are available for 630, 850, 1300 and 1550 nm operating wavelengths.--RIFOCS

Easier crimp connections
FLEXIBLE CRIMP TOOL for coax, modular plugs, fiber-optic, insulated lugs and open barrel connector types. The 8000 Series CrimpALL crimp tools have four ergonomic features that improve user satisfaction and job comfort. First, an angled head prevents awkward bending of the wrist during operation. Second, reduced handle grip distance is comfortable for workers with smaller hands. Third, higher crimp force is produced with lower hand force. Fourth, no breakover hand force is required to complete the crimp. All of the standard Paladin Tools crimp tool die sets fit into the new CrimpALL. Additional features include soft embedded-rubber handles, and EZI-Change thumb screws to make changing die sets quick and simple using only hand tightening. --Paladin Tools

Network connectors
SAVE SPACE WITH SMALL NETWORK INTERCONNECTS to decrease system costs in high-density applications. Small form factor Loopback Attenuators are available in both MT-RJ and LC connector styles to allow multiple fibers in a smaller footprint. The attenuators assist technicians with equipment testing and evaluation, as well as field troubleshooting. The units are specially designed by customer requirements for defined attenuation values, to evaluate all of the optical parameters to meet fiber loss and reflection specifications. The loopback attenuators operate at 850 nm and 1310 nm for multimode fiber, and 1310 nm and 1550 nm for single-mode cables. The attenuators feature a ruggedized ABS housing and molded dustcaps to extend the life cycle of the product.--AI/FOCS

Adaptable cable hooks
CABLE SUSPENSION SYSTEM offers flexible mounting options for quick installations. The CADDY AFAB Series angle brackets offer an easy and stable method for installing J-Hooks to threaded rod or directly to a structure. Specially designed tabs expedite assembly and stabilize the J-hooks--eliminating any movement of the J-hook after installation. Designed for modular installations, two brackets can be linked together with two J-hooks and installed on a threaded rod to create a secure tree assembly for multiple runs of high-performance cable. The heavy-duty brackets are available with different mounting hole sizes, including the standard 1/4" and 3/16" for power actuated tools, and one that can accommodate 3/8" and 10 mm threaded rod or bolt. Although they are available preriveted to the CableCat J-Hook, the brackets can also be easily assembled in the field as needed. Two brackets can be assembled in a 90 [degrees] angle to guide the cable around a corner, while maintaining the necessary bend radius for high-performance cable.--Erico
