A midrange to large enterprise storage and backup solution, the StorStation Advanced Intelligent Tape (AIT) Library 162 houses from one to two AIT-2 drives and 16 total cartridge slots. The AIT-2-based library boasts 2.08 TB of capacity and 112-GB-per-hour transfer rate, both with an average 2.6:1 compression. The library also features a slim 2U-high, rackmountable design, which is enabled by an internal carousel architecture. --Sony Data Systems
