Designed for network maintenance personnel, the CTK1015 CableTracker Network ID Kit uses link,light activation or port ID, combined with a tone generator, to provide cable-identification capabilities, with either active or inactive Ethernet cables. Previously, network managers and LAN technicians were forced to use either traditional telco tone generators or disconnect hardware to find termination points on active drops. With the port ID link-light activation feature, drop identification under active conditions is as simple as seeing a blinking light. The blinking light eliminates audible toner bleed, twist suppression and crosstalk. Three user-selectable link-light blink rates ensure compatibility with switches.
