Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedEnhanced copper-to-fiber conversion
Communications News, May, 2004
The J/E-PSW-FX-02 converter is a revised version of the company's 10/100Base-T to 100Base-FX bridging media converter. While maintaining the autonegotiation feature, the latest release also offers the ability to disable autonegotiation and force the copper port to 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps, and to force both the copper and fiber ports to full or half duplex. Feature enhancements include the addition of autocross, which eliminates the user intervention needed to choose the correct MDI/MDI-X button setting for the installation. While offering the same copper-to-fiber conversion, the new -02 version also has the addition of a rugged metal enclosure and the ability to be mounted into the company's rackmount shelf.--Transition Networks
