IS PROTECTING INFORMATION worth money to your enterprise? NDS Secure Access is a smart card-based authentication, privacy, and accountability security system scalable to individual corporate databases, networks, and intranets. The architecture of Secure Access consists of four components that work together with the firewall to protect the resource: a smart card, smart card reader, client, and server.

The NDS card reader is small enough to carry in the palm of your hand and can be incorporated into a PC. The reader is a compact, low-cost, portable unit that adds extra security, user tracking, and access control. Secure Access Client, compliant with PKSC #11 and Microsoft CAPI standards, negotiates protocols such as SSL and IPSec. Line of network defense

SECURITY ASSESSMENT, RECOMMENDATIONS, AND IMPLEMENTATION are available through NetSolve. Its ProWatch Secure Managed Firewall Service includes: ongoing 24x7 monitoring for faults and potential attacks, security reports and consultation, and firewall configuration management.

To ensure network protection, NetSolve security engineers assess alarms and indications of security violations or inappropriate activity, such as unusual increases in the level of activity or increases in the number of denied connections. NetSolve will perform ongoing configuration management of your firewall, including: configuration changes, backup and archival, software upgrades, network address translation, and VPN configuration management.

NetSolve uses Cisco Systems' Net Sonar software to probe external areas of vulnerability, such as Sendmail, NFS, NIS, FTP, telnet, http, and DNS. NetSolve configures the firewall according to an agreed-upon security policy. Once the firewall is implemented, NetSolve tests inbound and outbound security recommendations and results and adjusts the configuration as required. NetSolve supports the Cisco PIX Firewall.--NetSolve, Inc.
