The SHOUT2500 open telephony platform eliminates multiple stand-alone devices and complex integration efforts. The system combines gateway, gatekeeper, robust IP and TDM switching, SS7 and other signaling, call control, interactive voice response, and SIP and H.323 interoperability and protocol conversion. Frame-packing techniques improve bandwidth utilization, allowing nearly twice the number of calls to be carried with no compromise in quality. The platform initially supports 960 voice calls, and has dual T-3 interfaces and 16 T-1/E-1 connections. The device is only 3.5" high, taking up two 19" rack units.--Net.com
