Communications News, June, 2004

Centralize power distribution and backup without the need to increase infrastructure with the Juice Box, a mid-span power hub for Power-over-Ethernet (POE) compatible devices in applications such as VoIP and wireless networks. The unit provides 24 power ports and is fully compliant with IEEE-802.3af, and wiT1 also provide power to many legacy devices. It requires only 1U of rack space, and comes standard with both Web page and SNMP interfaces. With the addition of a single UPS, instead of one for each device, the box provides centralized backup power to all connected devices.--Systems Engineering International
