LOW-COST MPEG-2 NETWORK APPLIANCE is designed for high-end video applications. The Model 4000 series MPEG-2 video encoders convert analog video (NTSC or PAL) to digital MPEG-2 video for distribution over digital or computer networks. The Model 4300 is a dual encoder that packages two MPEG-2 encoders in a small footprint, allowing two high-quality streams over one IP interface. Software decoders, standalone hardware decoders and combination encoder/decoders are also available. All of the models include an integral Web browser that allows organizations to collaborate electronically over the network. Text documents, technical drawings and spreadsheets can be exchanged and modified in real time. Video sessions are instantly initiated using a simple infrared remote control similar to a standard television remote control.--Vbrick Systems
