Data quality analyzer - VoIP, optical and wireless testing - Anritsu MD1230A - Brief Article

Communications News, July, 2002 by Phil Hollows

Conduct accurate router performance testing and network monitoring with the MD 1230A data quality analyzer. With the ability to measure nearly every physical interface and network layer, the system can be used to conduct network performance and QoS evaluations. The unit also provides network managers a way to monitor real-time traffic for bandwidth utilization and impairments, such as latency and packet jitter. To monitor Ethernet and IP traffic, the MD1230A can conduct traffic monitoring of up to 64 dataflows in real time, and users can edit the packet data for each of the Ethernet, SONET/SDH, PPP, IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, VLAN, IP, TCP and UDP protocols at full wire speed. --Anritsu
