PDA software helps network managers monitor networks while on the run. The metroWATCH optical surveillance system is a stand-alone system that automatically monitors the status of metropolitan and enterprise optical networks. The system allows network managers to request and query optical maps, conduct fiber status test checks, perform remote network assessment and receive alarm notifications through a PDA.
