Versatile router - Supercomm 2002 - Quick Eagle Networks 5840 Multilink Router - Brief Article - Product Announcement

Communications News, July, 2002

The 5840 Multilink Router is a four-in-one WAN access device that is a CSU/DSU, a router, a multilink device and a network probe. The product uses the IETF-approved RFC1990 Multilink PPP protocol to bond multiple T-1/E-1 lines into a higher-speed virtual connection. Supporting up to 12 Mbps (eight T-1s or six E-1s) of bandwidth, the 5840 has multiple WAN ports and supports static and dynamic routing protocols, removing the need for a separate router. The router can be upgraded for added bandwidth through software alone, allowing it to expand as the need grows.--Quick Eagle Networks
