Designed for MTU applications, the IES-1000 G.shdsl Ethernet switch supports high-speed data transmission up to 2.3 Mbps over single copper pair, and is a 16-port G.shdsl switch, with a 1U rack height enclosure. Each enclosure is equipped with two eight-port G.shdsl modules with hot-swappable capability. A 10/100-Mbps Ethernet interface is designed for uplink to a Layer 2/3 switch or to a remote operation center. Information concerning configuration control, system status, performance index, alarm trap and other tasks are forwarded from the IES-1000 to an element-management system, which delivers a comprehensive service results report.--ZyXEL
