Wireless VoIP management

Communications News, July, 2004

The WLAN IP Telephony Manager 2245 is an Ethernet LAN appliance that works with wire less access points to provide quality of service on the wireless LAN. The solution optimizes the connection between handsets and the call server to support the exacting requirements of voice communications, minimizing latency for a better end-user experience. All UNIStim packets to and from WLAN handsets 2210 and 2211 pass through the appliance and are encapsulated for prioritization as they are routed to and from the supported Nortel Networks IP telephony solution.--Nortel Networks
