Communications News, July, 2005
The IPC36xx Series of intelligent power controllers is a standalone network appliance that does not require an expensive master controller. The unit provides individual on/off control of eight outlets. Power is controlled remotely via Ethernet (TCP/IP) or serial (RS-232) connections. The network interface can be accessed with a Web browser, telnet client or with SNMP management software. In addition to outlet on/off control, there is also reboot and sequence capability. System monitoring features are included in the interface, allowing e-mail notification of events or SNMP traps. The system login provides two different access levels, allowing both administrator and outlet user access. User access can be limited to control specific outlets or groups. The software includes settings for outlet names, unit names, network settings, sequence times and reboot times.--Pulizzi Engineering
