DNS and DHCP appliance

Communications News, July, 2005

DNSone Version 3 is an appliance-based solution that provides nonstop domain name system (DNS) and dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) services for enterprises. The module provides features that improve security, integration, reporting and manageability, including a redesigned GUI that provides a data- and service-centric view of DNS and DHCP services. The Web-based GUI, which runs in any browser and requires no client software, goes beyond conventional global-management systems that simply centralize management of individual boxes and protocols. The Infoblox approach provides a data- and service-centric view that automates many common DNS and DHCP management tasks and simplifies the deployment and management of appliances that are distributed over a wide area network.--Infoblox
