Communications News, August, 2001
SHARE ONE NETWORK ANALYZER AMONG MULTIPLE NETWORKS. The Network Analyzer Interface Module provides a simple parallel tap between a fiber-optic network and a network analyzer, allowing the analyzer to be connected and disconnected without having to bring the network down. The passive optical device does not require electrical power, and can be used on a variety of optical networks, including ATM, and Gigabit and Fast Ethernet. Each module consists of one to six links, with two input, two output and two taps each. A variety of connectors can be specified, including SC, FC and ST. Each link can be specified as single-mode or multimode, and the tap percentage is matched to the connected equipment's need.--Fiberdyne Labs
