Communications News, August, 2002
For enterprise broadband-access and data-center applications, the Bivio 1000-AX integrates gigabit speed routing, firewall, VPN, NAT and QoS into a single appliance. The product delivers routing between the intranet and Internet via RIP/OSPF. A firewall protects the intranet and Web servers from harmful attacks, while an IPSec VPN enables secure communication with remote sites. The NAT feature provides translation for internal network addressing. VLANs enable data center network architecture for mission-critical content delivery. QoS shapes outbound traffic and prioritizes inbound traffic for specific applications.--Bivio Networks
