The NetScreen-5400 is a four-slot, high-performance security system for large enterprise, carrier and data center networks. The unit permits up to one million concurrent sessions, has a firewall performance of up to 12 Gbps, and a triple-DES (168-bit) performance of up to 6 Gbps. VPN tunnels can be initiated and/or terminated on any interface. VPN traffic can be fully inspected after decryption and then encrypted again, if necessary, for final delivery. Large enterprises can secure several network segments with a single system, while still inspecting traffic between segments. Policies can be applied between zones, allowing similar traffic from multiple interfaces to be controlled in a single policy specification.--NetScreen Technologies
