Mobile employee IP phone - Wireless products

Communications News, August, 2003

The NetLink e340 wireless telephone operates as a client device on wireless LANs utilizing the IEEE 802.11b global standard, allowing converged mobile voice and data applications on a single wireless infrastructure. The solution supports standard and proprietary IP telephony protocols, as well as traditional circuit-switched PBX interfaces. Featuring a high-resolution graphic display and softkey menu access, the phone is designed for general enterprise applications that need advanced business telephone features. A QoS mechanism is employed on the wireless LAN to ensure voice quality with minimal impact on data throughput. The phone integrates with a variety of PBX systems and supports proprietary IP protocols, as well as H.323 for enterprise wireless VoIP solutions.--SpectraLink
